EventsGetting to Know You Night - Saturday 12th July 8 - 11pm The Kingdom 229 Kilburn High Road London NW6Officials from Kerry Association in London are to hold a special “getting to know you evening” in a London pub in an effort to attract new members to the association. The event will take place in The Kingdom Bar on the Kilburn High Road on July 12 and will feature an evening of music and craic to suit all ages. The association is particularly keen to attract new Kerry arrivals to Britain’s capital and club officers will offer Kerry people a focal point while they live in the city. Club president Christy Kissane said: “There are lots of Kerry people based all over this city but some of them don’t even know we exist. We want to bring as many Kerry people as we can under one roof and showcase to them what the association is all about. We cater for all ages and our current members are involved in several other Irish activities including Gaelic Games and the Rose of Tralee. This association is run by Kerry people for Kerry people and we are especially interested in attracting under-30s to the group.” The event will kick off at 8pm with an informal chat where association committee members' will be on hand to discuss the club’s activities. There will be light refreshments served and the night will finish with music from a well known, but yet to be confirmed Kerry band. Admission is free.
